What are passkeys anyway?

Passkeys are the future of a more secure future. They're easy to create, and make signing into your accounts faster than ever. Your passkeys are securely stored on devices you trust, such as your smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. They're protected by biometrics (such as your fingerprint or FaceID) or a device PIN. Passkeys are supported by Legacy Logix to ensure you have the best possible security.

How can I secure my Estate vault with a passkey?

Just go to your Settings -> Security tab, and click Get started to add your first passkey. It takes a couple seconds, and that's it! The next time you sign in, just click Sign in with passkey. One tap from your device, and you're securely signed in!

Are passkeys more secure than passwords?

Absolutely! Passkeys are secure by design. They block many common ways accounts are compromised on the internet including phishing, credential stuffing, and remote threats. Passkeys have built-in multi-factor authentication, which is an important layer of security passwords just don't support. No need to copy codes from text messages or emails. It's all baked into the passkey in a single click. Passkeys were designed to keep your accounts secure as painlessly as possible.

Where should I store my passkeys?

Google, Apple, and Microsoft accounts all support storing and syncing your passkeys between devices. Passkeys are cross-platform by design, so you can also store passkeys in a trusted third-party password manager (such as 1Password or Bitwarden) to securely keep passkeys across different kinds of devices.
