Which student loans are of significance?

Updated over a month ago

Consider all outstanding Federal subsidized, Federal unsubsidized, and private student loans for the deceased. Loans that the deceased may have co-signed for are generally not affected. Federal student loans are typically discharged, while private student loans may be discharged but can also become a liability for the Estate.
